December Fun!

Holiday Fun

We are making Gingerbread Houses on December 20th and we would love your help! Each student will bring home a letter today that includes our classroom needs for this fun project.

Learning Goals

Math Learning Goals for the week:
Students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate correct counting and skip counting within frames and arrows.
2. Define the meaning of a sum. Demonstrate knowledge of sums of 10.
3. Count coin combinations with pennies, nickels and dimes.
4. Write and draw time to the ½ hour.

Reading and Writing Learning Goals for the week:
Students will be able to:

1. Comprehend similarities and differences within a story.
2. Identify vowel sounds of y. Ex. My by and try vs. buddy, funny and happy
3. Know vowel pattern consonant vowel (VC) is a long vowel. Ex. No, go and be
4. Begin going the through the editing process to write story that includes a topic sentence and three detail sentences.
