1st Grade Update

Reminder! Our Gingerbread House Activity will be on December 20 at 2:15pm. (This is a time change for Millerville.) If you are able to provide supplies, we are still in need of:

Graham crackers
Icing
candy

This Public Library week!!!! We would love to have you join us! We will leave Hedges at 1:50 and return by 3:10.

Math Learning Goals for the week:
Students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate correct counting and skip counting within frames and arrows.
2. Define the meaning of a sum. Demonstrate knowledge of sums of 10.
3. Count coin combinations with pennies, nickels and dimes.
4. Add and subtract on number lines.

Reading and Writing Learning Goals for the week:
Students will be able to

1. Identify the plot of the story.
2. Know final ng, nk sounds.
3. Learn and understand what makes up compound word.
4. Continue to go through the editing process to Write story that includes a topic sentence and three detail sentences

We are making Gingerbread Houses on December 20th and we would love your help! Each student will bring home a letter today that includes our classroom needs for this fun project.
